Turkey, Saudi Arabia Sign Transport, Railway Cooperation Agreements

(MENAFN) Türkiye and Saudi Arabia have signed new memorandums of understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation in transport and railway development, marking what officials described as a major step forward in bilateral logistics relations, according to reports.

Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said on Tuesday that the agreements open a new phase of collaboration designed to enhance technical exchange and expertise across multiple sectors, including logistics hubs and modern transport systems.

“In this context, we are launching a new phase that will strengthen the exchange of expertise and technical cooperation across a wide range of areas, from logistics centers to modern applications,” Uraloğlu said on Turkish social media platform NSosyal.

He added that both countries are also expanding joint work in the railway sector, aiming to build a more sustainable framework for cooperation focused on technology, infrastructure development, training, and human resource development.

“May these steps, which will contribute to the connectivity, trade, and development of our region, bring lasting benefits to both our countries,” he said.

According to the Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Ministry, the agreement was signed between Uraloğlu and Saudi Arabia’s Transport Minister Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, underscoring efforts to deepen economic and infrastructure ties between the two countries.
